The Brittany Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, care and placement of homeless dogs.

The dogs are shown at our weekly adoption program at our sanctuary in Agua Dulce. Please check our schedule for adoption events. While in our care, the dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and given a thorough check-up along with any necessary medical attention. Our dogs are also microchipped.  If dogs are not adopted, they will live at the sanctuary for their entire life.  We run a no-kill facility.

We rescue all dogs, regardless of breed, and we often focus our efforts on the harder-to-place dogs such as seniors, disabled or abused dogs, and "media condemned" breeds such as Pit Bulls, Chow Chows, & Dobies. It's relatively easy to find a home for a cute little terrier, but the gratification for us comes from placing the 6-year-old Pit Bull with one eye, the stray mutt who has never had a home before, or the 12-year-old Doberman with severe separation anxiety (who is now living in a wonderful home of his own). Of course, we also have the adorable, easy, well-behaved angels who are still searching for their forever homes too.

Day In Their Paws

Day in Their Paws is back!

Yes, we're doing it again! DITP 2014 is scheduled for Saturday, October 18th, with an open house from noon-4:00 p.m.

Brittany Foundation wants to raise awareness of how rescue dogs live every day, spending virtually all of their time in a kennel while waiting to find their forever homes. Volunteers have committed to spending 24 hours in a kennel, but you can buy their freedom for $1 a minute. How can you refuse? Sponsoring a volunteer is a great way to help us raise funds so that we can continue our life-saving work. We will also be having an open house from noon - 4:00 p.m. with food, live music, a raffle, silent auction, and tours of the sanctuary.

Click here to see all of our volunteers and see who you might like to sponsor!

We are Volunteers

volunteers

The Brittany Foundation is an all-volunteer organization. Our devoted staff handles the care, feeding, event coordination, public awareness campaigns and many other needs for our busy facility. Brittany Foundation volunteers know each dog personally, and they know how to assist you in finding the right dog for your needs, home and lifestyle.

Without the devotion to animals that the Brittany Foundation volunteers bring to our organization, we could not survive to help these dogs find homes.

If you are interested in volunteering, check out the "How to Help" section of our website. Even if you can't give a dog a home, you can make a difference in an animal's life. The Brittany Foundation is always seeking fellow dog lovers to assist our humane mission.

Even if you can't adopt, our dogs could still use your support. It's easy! Just click on the PayPal button below. Thank you.

We need labor for construction, landscape maintenance, providing socialization and care for the dogs in their kennels, staffing events and administrative tasks. We are a working ranch that always has projects which require help, for example with brush clearance during fire season.
